Diversity and quality
Like all big cities, Rabat offers an exquisite and precious crafts. There are also signs chic and ultra modern shopping malls.

Rue des Consuls
Shopping starts with the Rue des Consuls in the medina. In addition to silver jewelry, the place is famous for its carpets. The traditional rug of Rabat is fine, its wool is short, often red and has at its center a diamond-shaped medallion. These rugs are qualified as urban as opposed to rural production of the Atlas. Their auction sale on Monday and Thursday mornings is an unforgettable moment. Leaving the Oudayas Kasbah, linger in the shops of the craft all the Tarik El Marsa. The site brings together the best pieces of rbati crafts in one place. It is the same for El Oulja the potters village on the road to Meknes. The artisans use clay from the neighboring quarries to shape the typical objects of everyday life that real art object. Many wicker pieces are also produced here.

One of the remarkable things in Morocco is the harmonious blend of tradition and modernity. One of the largest shopping centers in North Africa opened recently in Rabat. That mall is not the only shopping center in the city! National and international luxury boutiques are mostly installed on Avenue Mohammed V, and real administrative heart of the new city merchant. There are also a multitude of signs in upscale neighborhoods like the Agdal, particularly lively.
