Azilal, High Atlas: scale

Undoubtedly one of the most spectacular region of the Atlas. Since Azilal, all passenger means are available.

At the heart of the mountains
On the road to Azilal
Azilal region is at the heart of the High Atlas. The peaks can reach up to 4000 m. The valleys are sometimes tightening in narrow gorges or canyons bubbling. From the city, many excursions are organized in the neighboring M'Goun, or to the famous Ouzoud waterfalls. Here we find some of the most beautiful rivers in Morocco.

In this unspoilt mountain paradise, lakes and rivers abound. The watch is fun. One can also enjoy multiple activities. Fishing, water sports and, for the most sports, rafting and kayaking, anything is possible in these highlands outside the tourist routes.

Discovering the valleys
Depending on your level and your desires, you can choose quiet activities such as fishing, or hiking on foot or by donkey. And discover the magnificent surrounding valleys. Valleys Tassout, Ait Ait Bouwili or Bouguemez everywhere smiling landscapes, picturesque and welcoming villages. If you are feeling energetic, sports activities abound: summer, mountain biking, paragliding, canyoning or climbing; and winter combined the famous mule-skiing, a local specialty. Stories of yesteryear
History buffs, do not miss the prehistoric site of Tizi N'Tirguist with its rock carvings on slabs of pink sandstone. Or that of Iroutane, which features old fossilized footprints of dinosaurs 65 million years. The prehistoric site of Iroutane is 7 km Imi-n-Ifri by the track.
