CHEFCHAOUEN

Coming to Chefchaouen, in the Rif Mountains, is a preserved and little known Morocco you will discover. Excursions, fishing, relaxing, take your pick.

Around Chefchaouen
The Rif is not a very high mountain. Its highlights are just above 2000 m. Chefchaouen is a quiet little town full of charm. Located 600 meters above sea level, it seems protected by two mountain peaks that earned him his name, "the horns" in Berber. Stroll along its cobbled streets. How not to be sensitive to the simple and graceful charm of whitewashed houses with blue doors? They often conceal very attractive small patios.

discreet Charm
On Chefchaouen heights
The Medina of Chefchaouen is one of the most charming of Morocco. It is home to delightful small squares with fountains. The Andalusian inspiration is everywhere palpable. It is also nicknamed the little Granada. In the center, the Uta el-Hammam square is a marvel. A large cedar, terraces of restaurants and cafes, and especially a very beautiful mosque of the fifteenth century overhung of a rare octagonal minaret.

peaceful Nature
At the north-east exit of the medina, the source of Ras El Ma is a cool oasis offering a beautiful view of the valley. Chefchaouen is the place to hike in the area. On foot or by donkey, let us guide you to the Talassemtane National Park, the valley of the monkeys or the falls of Tissemlal. If you fish, trout await you in this unspoilt region.
