out like Marrakech, Taroudant has imposing adobe ramparts, adorned with square towers. A walk 7km carriage around makes it possible to discover the five gates, Bab El-Kasba being the main and most majestic. The excellent condition of the crenellated walls commands respect. Large fruit gardens around the city. Its medina and souks are very lively. The profusion of decorative items, jewelery, carpets and other antiques is amazing.

Surrounded by mountains, the High Atlas to the north and east and the Anti-Atlas to the south, Taroudant is at the heart of a fertile valley. 30 km southeast perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking the village of Tiout palm grove reminiscent of Marrakech. The ruins of an ancient kasbah transformed into a tourist restaurant, dominate the site. From the top of the peak, will offer a unique view of the High Atlas and the Souss Valley. In addition to being specialized in Berber craftsmanship and silver objects, the city of Taroudant is famous for its tannery. It is easy to understand by visiting the souk of the tanners. Forty artisans work before your eyes sheepskins, goats but also more exotic animals. Agricultural side, the area of AMAGOUR, pretty village located 32 km south of Taroudant, is covered argan.
